Buying a Rig. Mixing top brands. How does it feel?

Recommended Posts

As to the skilled person, surely they can mix the vest, arms, sled fluently. they know much of the rigs and how to operate it.

Well as a freshman, maybe not the top brand is the best to you,but the one that suitable for you is the best.

Must to say, practicing can't be igore. all the skilled operator from day after day practicing.

If i had the change to visit a sertain shop back then, i would have saved myself a lot of $......

You dont "need" to mix, there is a perfectly system for you out there that keeps you in the same package for your entire life....

Just saying

Slightly off topic, but Tom, nice to bump into you at Tiffen yesterday, best of luck with your kit decisions.

After spending two days with it I would have to say you absolutely can't go wrong with the Exo-vest, it's superb, just makes sure you always take the time to seat it and fit it properly before flying the rig.

Getting the fit just right appears to be much more critical than with other vests, not a criticism of the vest in any way, I absolutely loved it, just a bit of advice from my two days I spent with it.

Sophie,

Here is what you need to do:

CHANGING YOUR NAME: On any page, click on your name on the top right of the page, in the menu that appears, select [My Settings], select [Display Name] in the left menu. Change your name in the box after New Display Name, then click [Save Changes]

BECOMING A SUSTAINING MEMBER: on any page, in the top left menu, select [Subscriptions], then select the [SteadicamForum Sustaining Member Upgrade]

I am not an admin, but I would be very unhappy to see you post anything else and advertising your products in impunity on this forum without respecting its rules.

Please do these changes prior to posting anything else.

Thank you.

PS: I am very sorry for drifting away from the subject.

Victor... easy man. Easy. She knows she needs to change her name, but I don't know why you think she needs to be a sustaining member. She's been warned about the advertising, those posts have been removed, and she has since stopped. If you're referring to her signature, I'm not going to start considering signatures to be advertisements. Otherwise, most of us are advertising all the time in all the different forums.

Tom,

Try everything, and I mean everything out there and then consider what works best for you based on service, parts availability, what are other Ops in your immediate work area (where you work most of the time) using for gear (of course this would mean it has to be easily removed/modular).

I'm sure you'll get a ton of different answers but at the end of the day you're the one that's going to have to run around with the rig on, not others. And by run around, I mean run around! And accidents happen and stuff gets broken. You want your gear and the manufacturer to be an asset and not a hindrance during those tumultuous times we all eventually go through, so def take that into account.

Cheers.
