Premium Members Rich Cottrell Posted June 15, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 15, 2013 I was just wondering if anyone has the new GPI-Pro Cinelive sled and if they have used the new cinetronic monitor on it. Specifically i am curious about the tally light system integration between the two manufactures... thanks, rich
Premium Members chris bangma Posted June 15, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 15, 2013 We have a few people running tally. The tally trigger takes a voltage input from 2-24v. Currently there are two options for tally, either a red bar across the top of the image, or red corners.
Premium Members John Perry SOC Posted June 15, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 15, 2013 Hi Rich, I ordered 2 Cinetronic Gen2's specifically for use on both of my PRO CineLive sleds. Chris at Cinetronic assured me tally will work thru the CineLive sled and will test it at PRO's shop before I take delivery of the monitors next week. He also added in the Cinetronic firmware a picture-in-picture feature so I can put analog program in the little box, eliminating the need for a 2nd smaller program monitor mounted to the rig, so you'd have on-screen tally, analog program and your HD picture all displayed on the Cinetronic screen. Sounds perfect for live multi-camera shows.
Premium Members Osvaldo Silvera SOC Posted June 19, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 19, 2013 Hi, So I have the Pro Gen 3 HD sled with the tally option. I plug in the photo sensor up top and on the bottom of the sled plug in the cable with the LED to the lower LEMO.then velcro that LED to the top of my Monitor currently. When I get a Cinetronic 2 monitor. Would I just have a cable made from the Lemo on my LEH to the lemo on the monitor? That lower Lemo Tally Output feeds the LED, so would this voltage signal be fine to trigger the Tally on the Cinetronic? ALSO, if I also got a Cinetronic 1 monitor. What connector would I need to put on the end of my current LED cable to trigger the tally, or does the Gen 1 not have a Tally?
Premium Members chris bangma Posted June 19, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 19, 2013 The Gen1 does not have a tally. The Gen2 will take a voltage input from 1-24v to trigger the tally. John was in today with his rigs, and tested the tally with the cine live, and all works well. We can wire the tally to use the 2 pin lemo, or to use the 8 pin lemo. Premium Members Robert Starling SOC Posted June 20, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 20, 2013 I've seen it work and it works as described. HOWEVER... some monitor cables are not assembled using all eight pins of the Lemo; they just wire the essentials. I found this to be true with all of my monitor cables. Make sure you have all eight pins wired if that is the route you intend on going. Robert
Premium Members John Perry SOC Posted June 22, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 22, 2013 I just took delivery of two Gen2 Cinetronic monitors and tally works perfectly with the PRO CineLive sled, along with picture-in-picture etc. I'm a happy customer of both Cinetronic and PRO
