Hi Sandro,

I'm quite pleased with the monitor. I paid $ 2.200,00 USD for it. So considering it's over half the price for the BON compared to Cinetronic or Transvideo, it does do a good job.

It has all the features of a good HD-SDI monitor. False color, focus, R.G.B.gray Waveform, Anamorphic etc.

It has digital levels, but these aren't accurate enough, so I've turned them off.

It has several viewing options. Auto luminance (which I don't use, Indoor, Outdoor and Daylight). Daylight is of course the brightest option. And to me, it doesn't seem that the monitor just pumps up the brightness to give you Daylight. So I'm pleased there. Outdoor I have never had any major problems with viewing conditions. But if the sun hits your monitor straight on, it can be more difficult to see the image.

The monitor does not have AR coating, which many would probably want on a Steadicam monitor. Do I want it? Sure, but am I willing to pay $3K + extra for it? Not sure about that. But Steadicam is only part of my income, a lot come also from DP work. So if you're a full time Steadicam operator, perhaps a monitor with AR coating is more to your liking.

That said, I moved up from a 700nit SD monitor to this 1100nit HD monitor. So I am happy. And if I ever want a Cinetronic or similar, I'll either keep the BON as a director's field monitor or sell it. And it's a kick ass monitor for the listed price.

PS! It does not have flip mode, but I imagine this is just a firmware upgrade from BON.

Hope this helps

Fly safe
