They should also work with 15mm (.590), but might need a layer of gaffer tape. .500 diameter rods would need a little plate (.125 thick) or more tape or hard rubber. There are two widths - one for the battery rods, and one for the monitor rods - get the latter. The weights also work alone with a 1/4-20 thread and are stackable.
