Premium Members John E Fry Posted August 19, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 19, 2013 http://nftsfilm-tv.ac.uk/our-courses/short-courses/camera-sound September course at the NFTS, although we don't really cover Merlins. I'd suggest going back to the video then practice, practice, practice. Steadicam is a skill & takes a long time to perfect.
Premium Members rupert peddle Posted November 2, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 2, 2013 Hi Peter, I'm just starting out on 'the journey' and have my eye on the Tiffen Bronze weekend workshops which seem like good value. This year they had one in Oxford at the start of the year so hopefully they will do the same in a few months. They have all the details at http://www.flysteadicam.com/. Might see you there! rups
Premium Members Thomas English Posted November 2, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 2, 2013 Let go of the sled and let it do its own thing and then tickle it.. Try it neutrally balanced then make it a little bottom heavy.. Your almost certainly too bottom heavy. Buy some beers and play around. Like John says.
