Premium Members Michael Wilson Posted August 18, 2013 Premium Members Report Posted August 18, 2013 Hi all, On a shoot and I just found out the director wants some high angle steadicam shots. I have the MK-V 1.5" 2 stage system with a threaded connector at the base and a 3a like topstage with four screw holes. I understand MK-V has a 4 stage post but I'm not really interested in buying a new gimbal and post with cable. A bit cost prohibitive right now. I'm fine with running with an onboard battery on camera and video outside the post. Not sure if the pro superpost will mate with my rig though. Looking for any and all options. Looking to rent as well. Let me know what you got. thanks Quote

Premium Members Michael Wilson Posted August 19, 2013 Author Premium Members Report Posted August 19, 2013 It's on a feature for several weeks. I'm trying to make it work for both of our budgets so everyone is happy. I'm trying to explore as many options as possible. Quote
Premium Members flemming laybourn Posted August 26, 2013 Premium Members Report Posted August 26, 2013 best bet is a different rig, Pro/mk-v are not interchangeable.. maybe longer armposts..? BR Quote
Premium Members JobScholtze Posted August 26, 2013 Premium Members Report Posted August 26, 2013 If you have the V2 electronics, i do have a 4 stage post cable overhere wich i could sell you for grabs. If you buy the 4 stage from mk-v, i believe its 2 inch only, so yes, that brings you up to a new gimbal. Or perhaps you already have a 2 inch gimbal with an insert to make it 1.5? Quote
Premium Members Michael Wilson Posted August 27, 2013 Author Premium Members Report Posted August 27, 2013 Job -- i might take you up on that. I have the v2 updated Hd electronics. Not sure if the pins are the same. The desire for the superpost has dwindled on this project at this point. Quote
