Premium Members Mike Gailing Posted October 14, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 14, 2013 Brad, Do your products utilize Amimon chips? What band do they operate on? Are your point to point products H.264? Are your prices for pairs or just a single RX or TX?
Premium Members JobScholtze Posted October 14, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 14, 2013 Its a chinese compagny. I asked for a demo unit to fully test out, but you have to buy it. Never mind, case closed. No report from the field, no test result by fellow op's etc. I think i'll pass on this one for now

Premium Members Martin Stacey Posted October 16, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 16, 2013 Good way to start building a trustworthy working relationship with your major potential customer base. Lie to them about where you are based and then refuse to actually show them any physical products without demanding full payment up front. Something smells rotten in. .....

Lie to them about where you are based and then refuse to actually show them any physical products without demanding full payment up front. Something smells rotten in. ..... Hey Martin. I agree with your point that start building trustworthy work relationship with major potential customer. However, you didn`t get the point. How can you get the conclusion that airpul refuse to actually show potential customer any physical products without demanding full payment up front? What`s your motivation for attacking Airpul? We start Airpul LLC just few months ago. We are building our distribute channels. It is impossible for airpul offer free demo for every customer`s requirement. 1, the product`s cost is so high over 3,000 US dollars. 2, How could we trust people who are not able to pay sample`s fee, and Airpul promise refund sample`s fee if the customer are not satisfied with testing result. We can show you all guys our products on IBC show next year.

BWAHAAHAHAHAAH in the world of steadicam unfortunately that's not "So High"
Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted October 16, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 16, 2013 2, How could we trust people who are not able to pay sample`s fee, and Airpul promise refund sample`s fee if the customer are not satisfied with testing result. ... because the people you would send it to are the most trusted people in the business. If you were to send a sample to Eric Fletcher and he came to the conclusion that this sample is amazing (he probably won't), he would probably in the end; 1- buy back your sample, 2- give you tips on how to make it more efficient for us users. 3- other operators may contact you and start being interested. This is how every single company does in the steadicam world. (Why am I teaching you your job, I don't know). Example with the Exovest from Tiffen. Prototypes have been going from operator to operator all around the globe to try it out. the product is still not out and a lot of people are ready to buy it from the hype it created, plus they have made many changes from the feedbacks. Oh and it's worth $6495.00 for purchase. Same thing with Cinetronic and their Gen2 monitor ($5k) and many other. There are many good solutions already existing in your sector. (Boxx, Paralinx, Teradek, Switronix, and many more) and they seem to have a few strong advantages against you. 1- they are listening to their customers, and not fighting them. 2- their product is actually out and not just a render. (we have too many vaporwares) 3- they have zero delay, your H.264 encoding will have a longer delay no matter how well you implement it, plus loss of image quality. Also, know that some of the people on this forum know as much, if not more about wireless transmission and other technologies than you. (all of us use them, some of us make them) I am sorry, but these are the points people are reacting to. Show us a working prototype and allow a few good operators to test in in the field for a couple of months (it's a gamble but if you don't want to gamble $4k, this business might not be for you. Ps: most of the things I wrote here, I learned if from reading this forum. Go through it and you will see for yourself.
Premium Members JobScholtze Posted October 16, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 16, 2013 How can you get the conclusion that airpul refuse to actually show potential customer any physical products without demanding full payment up front? And the mail answer i got from you after i try'd to explain that its hard to convince the steadicam community and as a user of wireless systems ( 5 sets wireless sets at the moment ) i was interested in testing a unit out and would be happy to show this great community how well ( or not ) your unit is. And the answer i get is: Samples are available for you. As you see, this kind product`s cost is too high. there`s no free sample in our company. Quotation; AC8231: US$2,560 (transmitter with HD-SDI input and receiver with 1 HDMI input) So, this is where we get the, you need to pay up front to test it out. You ask for a payment and refuse to send a demo. Fine, thats your choice, but i would never spend a dollar on a piece of gear i never have seen working, no reviews from my collegues, just a compagny who is telling the are american, but all evidence tells us its from china. Victor is giving good advice, i would take that advice, cant hurt, can it? Good luck
