The mA is the quantity of power stored in the battery. The higher, the longer it will last, and the bigger the battery pack. It's up to you to chose if you want a battery that lasts long or a light weight one that you would change more ofter (I would go with light one to avoid having your assistant caring a bulky battery for no reason) EDIT: This is the right forum...
