Moderators Alec Jarnagin SOC Posted December 20, 2013 Moderators Report Share Posted December 20, 2013 "$4875 on the film-stuff website brand new configured like yours…." Well, all that does is annoy me since I should have been rewarded for being an early adopter and putting up with countless bugs…. Now, it seems you can jump in and get one for less than me and deal with less problems. Yeah, I'm calling a spade a spade here. Don't blame Justin here; clearly he is out for a reason. The rest of us should be rewarded for our loyalty.
Premium Members chris bangma Posted December 20, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 20, 2013 Alec, you paid $1200 for your Gen2, and $850 for your level... I think that is rewarding loyalty..
Moderators Alec Jarnagin SOC Posted December 20, 2013 Moderators Report Share Posted December 20, 2013 Chris, The $1200 is an upgrade fee and not the cost of the monitor since I bought a Gen 1 that I returned to get that price on a Gen 2. That said, the fact that you let people use a monitor for almost two years and then return it for another one for just $1200 is an amazing thing and I don't wish to belittle that or your efforts. And, for the record, Chris has always been very quick to respond to any and all communications, etc. It just irks me a bit when I see continual discounts for new buyers, etc. I suppose its the inevitable financial curve with technologies. And the truth is, I'm happy I've had these monitors to use throughout that time. Yeah, the bugs in the Gen 2 and the delays have annoyed me but no secret has been made that these bugs exist. All and all, I just wonder why people are attacking Justin. If you don't like his price, don't buy it.
Premium Members chris bangma Posted December 20, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 20, 2013 Thanks Alex, we have tried to do our best to keep people happy. I know it has been a long tough road. Monitor sales are what keep the door open, and things progressing as well. Sometimes we have to drop the price a bit to get the fence sitters to get off the fence and hit the buy button. These sales are what support future upgrades, further development etc.
Moderators Alec Jarnagin SOC Posted December 20, 2013 Moderators Report Share Posted December 20, 2013 And I'd add that I thought of you guys and how cool the upgrade thing was when Teradek announced their new pro transmitter. I have a Bolt that I have barely used (Hint, hint, Teradek guys!).
Premium Members GrantCulwell Posted December 20, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 20, 2013 Crazy thought: how about we not have this type of discussion on Justin's thread while he is trying to sell.
