F65 power cable.

I have a last minute job with an F65 coming up. What connector powers the F65 and what are the pinouts?

Here are the specs from the F65 manual. Same power connector as the F35, and I believe the Panavision Genesis. It's an 8 Pin Lemo, 2 Size shell (I believe, someone can back me up on that).

Yes, you're right Tom. Genesis, F23, F35, F65 are all the same power connector.

Don't know exact details, but was on a job where the cable was wired for Genesis and didn't power F65 correctly (powered body, but not accessory ports or some such).

BJ McDonnell would know more on this, but make sure you test ahead of time if possible.

To clarify:

The connector is:

FGJ.3B.308.CLLD72Z (where the 72 is the size of the cable, in this case 7.2mm)

 

 

The connector is wired for 12v and 24v, but the camera is purely a 12v camera. The 24v is a straight pass-through to the 24V output (a single Fischer 3-pin RS, the same as Arri).

When flying it last time I merely wired it for 12V with a y cable to the camera power and aux and used all 12v accessories.

When doing a y-cable, it doesn't really matter what pins each cable is in, as the camera combines all the positive pins and negative pins. (discovered because when I pulled the AUX battery to change it with hot-swap, the accessories were still powered through the power feeding back through the connector.)

I used the same cable that I use for the Genesis. Worked fine on the F65.
