Premium Members Mike Gailing Posted December 6, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 6, 2013 Hi Guys, I have some exciting news. Teradek is proud to announce the latest addition to our line of zero delay wireless video transmitters, the Bolt Pro 2000. Priced at $7990, BP 2000 offers up to 2000ft of range, 3G-SDI input + loop and outputs, and support for 1080p60. Like our current line of Bolt transmitters, BP 2000 has less than 1ms of delay, performs best when line of sight, and has a number of mounting options suitable for just about any camera rig. There will be limited quantity on hand when it begins shipping on December 16th. The preorder notification page can be found here: http://www.teradek.com/pages/bp2k-sign-up Let me know if you have any questions! Premium Members Thomas English Posted December 6, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 6, 2013 How do you think this will compare to the Boxx HD system. Ignoring weight considerations. I am only thinking image quality and reconnection speed after breakup.
Premium Members Mike Gailing Posted December 6, 2013 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted December 6, 2013 We havent done a head to head test yet so its hard to say. I would argue the reconnection time, quality of video, etc.. is as good or better.

Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted December 6, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 6, 2013 Are you also planning on a patch antenna array?
Premium Members Jens Piotrowski SOC Posted December 6, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 6, 2013 At this price all the rental houses will buy it and it will be a standard on the set, not a luxury.
Premium Members Mike Gailing Posted December 6, 2013 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted December 6, 2013 Are you also planning on a patch antenna array? Hey Victor, We will not be selling the patch antennas (at least not immediately), but they can certainly be used with these units.
Premium Members Benjamin Treplin Posted December 6, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 6, 2013 do the regular Bolt receivers work with the new transmitter?
Premium Members Robert Starling SOC Posted December 6, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 6, 2013 Congratulations to Michael and the staff at Teradek on this new product and their awesome support of The Stabilizer Workshops! I'll have one of the new units in-hand as soon as physically possible and will give it a test and review once we put it through some paces. I know I'll have at least one rig and operator working the CES show so that will be a very good test in that very tough RF environment. Premium Members Mike Gailing Posted December 6, 2013 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted December 6, 2013 do the regular Bolt receivers work with the new transmitter? Unfortunately, they do not since they use different chipsets. However, we are investigating ways to make them work together...
Premium Members Alan Rencher Posted December 7, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 7, 2013 Hey Mike. Does it still pass time-code and record flags like the current Bolt system?
Premium Members Mike Gailing Posted December 7, 2013 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted December 7, 2013 Hey Mike. Does it still pass time-code and record flags like the current Bolt system? It will not when we begin shipping, but it is something we're developing.
Guest Carmelo
Genlock?
Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted December 7, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 7, 2013 Genlock? I don't think you guys are talking about the same thing. Alan mentioned Timecode and Rec Flags in the context of placing a Video Recorder (PIX, Hyperdeck...) on the receiving end and be able to record without having to press a button on it. A gunlock box would be used to sync the image wit the sound. One is TC coming into the camera (Genlock) the other is TC coming out of the camera (or the lack thereof with the wireless video) PS: I see that it's your first post, or rather word here. Welcome. May I remind you that the policy of this forum is to use your full name. You can change that by clicking your name in the top right, then My profile. Premium Members Alan Rencher Posted December 7, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 7, 2013 I have another question: are these unicast or multicast?
