Premium Members Jason Williams Posted July 14, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 14, 2005 Hi Guys 'n Gals, I'm doing my first ever 16mm shoot this weekend, and it's something I've never attempted yet, and it feels a little daunting, but I'm happy to go with the flow and do my very best. They're gonna use remote focus so that's something that will add extra interest, but I'm not letting that worry me ... yet! I just wondered if anyone has any hints or tips that may come in useful .... I'm taking someone with me as my spotter who's clued up with this kinda thing, but I've gotta go back for a single day, and he can't make it, so I'm a tad nervous on that score. Thanks everyone, I appreciate any input you can give. Jason
Todd Ferguson
HI, my name is Todd. First of all good luck. Most 16mm mags I have used are coaxial so the film will shift from one side to the other so you might need to trim balance a bit. Hopefully your spotter has experience and will be there the first day to show you some thing's.
mattmarek
hmm. hit your marks. your 1st will thank you. other than that...film is more expensive than tape, so just make sure you are up to your chops and you DON'T SCREW UP!!!! relax and have fun :D
