Premium Members Iain Baird Posted January 10, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 10, 2014 HD Upgraded PRO, MK-V Lower & Upper electronics with MK-V 2” 4 stage post *Single dedicated HD line (using 1st edition LEMO 856 with 1 co-ax), Comes with 2 HD upper J-Boxes each with an HD post cable – one with a 3B Lemo (1 coax, 12 pin) CAM/AUX/MON power lines run to upper J-BOX. The other with 2B Lemo (1 coax, 10 pin) CAM/AUX power lines run to upper J-BOX (camera battery supplies all video power outputs) Both post cables use 2 pins for the AUX and CAM power runs and single pins for video & video power run on the 3B. (Standard MK-V upper J-box didn’t have Aux power) *2 additional outputs on front of lower electronics #1. 2 pin Lemo with regulated 12V power (for voltage specific devices like Blackmagic #2. 4 pin Lemo with video/power *Switch for Selecting Monitor Breaker Power source - Either Battery position 3 or Monitor backfeed through 8 pin Lemo will go through breaker. *All Switches are locking style *Comes with one Gorelock ring attached to Post, original MK-V docking ring removed PRO Battery Rack II W/recorder mount and 1 jumper, comes with both IDX and AB mounts. AB mounts presently installed. Mounts can be changed without any soldering – there are six colour coded banana plugs in battery position three for easy plate swaping. I’ve always found it’s best to use the rental houses batteries and having both styles comes in handy. This Post & Electronics has served me very well for the last 5 years or so. I’ve since bought so many new parts that I’ve ended up with this as extra and have no need for it. The MK-V 4 stage post is great for super low and super high modes. I was never a fan of the MK-V electronics (hence the upgrades) but I have always liked this post, it is very rigid and well built. The current PRO design uses a 2nd edition 3B 856 LEMO with 2 co-ax lines but personally I’ve never had the need for more than one. This package might soon be sold in pieces. The HD Electronics and POST cables to replace the SD electronics in the MK-V Superpost PRO upgrade.(2 sets of cables and upper j-boxes using the 3B.812 and 2B.812 LEMO connectors not the 1st edition LEMO 856 as previously mentioned - there was in fact likely no such thing but the 856 wasn't available to me when this upgrade was done) $3,750 US plus S&H I'm not sure if the MK-V 4 stage post is compatible with other sleds as this one was part of a kit sold to attach to PRO electronics, but if it can be split from the electronics i'll sell it separately. $2,600 US plus S&H If It can't be sold separately then $6,000 US plus S&H for the Post & Electronics The PRO Battery Rack II with IDX mounts $3,500 US plus S&H IB Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Now $9,000 US plus S&H for the lot. IB ** At one time I was planning on upgrading the HD electronics to match the PRO standard but decided since it was unnecessary for me I never bothered. I however purchased all of the LEMO connectors I would need for this upgrade. 2 x 3B.FGG.856 for the post cable, 1 x 3B.EGG.856 for the lower electronics and 1x 3B.PHG.856 for the upper J-Box Electronics.
