If it is uncompressed you need, see if you can snag a BlackMagic Design Hyperdeck Shuttle from someone you know. It works well with the F3 and it does uncompressed as well as ProRes and DNxHD. My favorite cable is 3-pin sled to follow focus. Is that weird?? -Kipro mini weighs in under 1.5 lbs. The Hyperdeck Shuttle isnt much lighter, but it does have an internal battery. Depending on your shot that could be an option. -I also second trying the KiPro on the battery rack downstairs if thats an option. Then run your BNC from your sled to your monitor and pass through to the Ki Pro. Youll need about a 3' BNC and some right-angle BNC connectors will be helpful to keep the whole thing tight. While I'm still a student and may not be able to afford the cable off the bat, having Terry's contact info sounds like it will surely be of great use when need be. I will be putting the kipro on the sled and running a BNC, so that will save me a few precious pounds. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure if the set-up was indeed over 20 lbs, but my intuition told me if it wasn't, it was very very close - so I was just taking precaution. Which doesn't weigh much, but it requires d-tap, so we had to throw an anton on the rig for it, which added somewhere between 2-4 lbs to the build. My rough estimate was that the rig at the top weighed somewhere between 14-17 pounds, which didn't include my counterweight on the sled and the rig itself - the source of my concern. The KiPro, the full sized unit (as opposed to the KP Mini), would probably require you mount it UNDER the F3 which would make an insanely high center of gravity for the rig. You would have difficulty getting the gimble positioned at a decent height without extended the sled length quite a bit. F3's typically come with a Berkey Plate on the top of the body and of course a baseplate. Former is just under a pound and the baseplate is typically in the 2 pound range. If you have a Berkey Plate and can shed it for the shoot you will obviously loose that weight. The advertised weight limit of the Flyer LE does not include counterbalance. or the weight of the sled itself. A 14-17lb camera is perfectly fine.
