Stefan Baltz
Is it possible to unscrew a lemo FGG.0B connector?? I've tried to, but it seems quite fixed and I don't want to use too much force on it. I'm pretty sure this is very simple with the Fischer connectors, but does it also work with the lemos?? Premium Members Alan Rencher Posted January 26, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 26, 2014 If you're talking about unscrewing the cable collet to disassemble the connector, yes, it can be done. It's possible that someone may have put locktight or glue on it. The collet unscrews from the where the cable enters the back of the assembly. A set of needle nose pliers work pretty well. Premium Members Iain Baird Posted January 26, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 26, 2014 The Collet will unscrew but some manufacturers use lock tight on the threads. Try to safely heat up the collet to melt the lock tight (taking care not to burn the cable) IB
