Isn't nobody comming up with an original design anymore???? It looks like a very futuristic styled 3A Arm and that's it. Still uses the 6 Springs, Cable design... what an improvement... I don´t know if it is better but I saw at the last IBC a IIIa look-a-like but with steel blades instead of cables, so some people do try to make it different. That was a great low-cost heavie-load arm but lacked several advantages of a conventional steadicam-arm-designe. Two years ago I posted that i was working on a new dual-arm design - Looks like the right time to introduce the ActionProducts Zero-G arm! The first batch is now in production and avalible round end of march. Price not set yet, not cheap, but a little lower than the leading brands (thanks to the new design that reduces parts by 20% Whats new? -no wires -uses array of small cost effective springs for spring-package -great force-curve (feals very compatable to the leading brands) -loads from 0-80lbs (0-38kg) More if required -all cridical joints with radial (sealed or caped) ballbearings -jib round 30" (80cm) -general size comparable to IIIa but longer bones -weight round 13lbs (6kg) fully loaded spring packages -changing spring-packages in approx. 10min Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If someone came on this board and had a sign on name of "Albert" and started talking about this or that, or this new steadicam and posted a link or posted, "want more information, email me at: anewsteadicam@aol.com" Would you go to that link or email that person, having NO idea who they are or where they are from? That's the case with a lot of the people who post here. Most of us know each other or know OF each other. It's only people like you, who post without using their name that cause confusion. Well, of course it would. If someone posted some beachfront property for sale in Kansas and posted as "Alec Jarnigan" then I would be suspicious. But I think when we're chatting about steadicam we can be "relatively" :ph34r: sure that it's actually Alec posting. It's just easier if we all post are names. That's all he was trying to say. Zero-G Arm, different in deed: It's been ages since I tried your rig and arm. So I see you also went with the tratitional Arm Post and Gimbal Handle and abandand the Arm-Gimbal-in one unit... Loads of 80 Lbs... If I remember right then it was you that, made this special arm for a japanese costumer that could hold 90 Lbs.... (90...Only one word: Why?) 13 Lbs the same as the Sachtler Arm, look out, people will complain about the weight as they do with the PRO Arm that weighs 12 Lbs.
