Premium Members Charles Papert Posted February 8, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 8, 2014 http://makingoficons.com/ I enjoyed this a lot conceptually. Great idea, fun execution. I do have curiosities about the use of the AR here and whether it introduced a certain amount of "restlessness" into the frame as every time it was rotated (as can be seen in the behind-the-scenes video), the stability seemed to suffer. Seems to me like it could have all been done in low-mode with a step-on dolly wheeled in at the end to raise the operator up to the final lens height. Perhaps it was "easier" to achieve with the AR, but did the tool compromise the end product?
Premium Members Daniel Stilling DFF Posted February 8, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 8, 2014 I agree 100%. I think high low mode would have been the ticket.

Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted February 8, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 8, 2014 who was the op?
Premium Members Brian Freesh Posted February 8, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 8, 2014 It was an AR, the Op's first name is Simon IIRC, don't remember last name. The credits were on a web page where I watched the other day.
Premium Members Joel San Juan Posted February 8, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 8, 2014 It's probably Simon Wood who did the River Island Fashion Film.
