What to bring to workshop?

I'll be attending the workshop in Rockport, ME next week. I'm wondering if there is any advice regarding what I should bring that I might find useful throughout the week.

 

I've got the general acceptance packet, but that doesn't tell me much more than what to wear, where to eat, sleep, register, etc. Also, the usual classroom accessories. However, I'm sure there are Steadicam specific things that I might need while practicing. Knee pads? Towels? Firearms?

A camera is always good (as in still, for photos.. or maybe a video cam if you want) - one thign i found usefull was having my laptop along so that i could grab a copy of my Grandrix shot for myself.

A positive attitude, an open mind, and a comfortable pair of trainers/shoes. dont spend too much (i.e. any) time trying to photo-document/video the course or you'll miss out. Keep your eyes and ears open; dont be afraid to ask questions - especially stupid ones, and most importantly enjoy yourself!

if you can get your hands on a vest, that will give your group more 'in the rig' time and save the constant turnovers. also make friends. i met stephen at the course and we are good friends to this day, and i'll be going down south next week to work with one of the teachers of the course.
