Premium Members Iain Baird Posted February 22, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 22, 2014 I know there has been a lot of talk about this monitor over the last few months - mostly that it's not everything some people expected it to be. I have to say I was/am one of the people who purchased it and was surprised by a few of the glitches that presented and I'm still hopeful that they can all be sorted. But the truth is about the Gen 2 is that it's view-ability is fantastic and ultimately when the chips are down and the sun is shining, that's the most important factor for any monitor on your Sled. With the addition to my kit of a Blackmagic Up/Down/Cross converter I can now use ANY signal from any camera and that has me once again comfortable with my decision in buying the Cinetronic. Premium Members Osvaldo Silvera SOC Posted February 24, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 24, 2014 Just yesterday I was operating the Movi on a picture here in town, next to me was Brian N. with his Cinetronic Gen 2, We were tracking the talent next to each other I could glance over and look at his Cinetronic gen 2 and see perfectly his shot, sometimes he was right next to me, and at times almost across from me doing the reverse, I could still see his frame and adjust my shot accordingly.. PS, He was on an F55 and the signal was from the camera to the sled, and down thru the GPI post straight into the Gen 2, No Blackmagic, No Decimator, I don't know how the Terradek Bolt was fed, but it all worked great. That sucker is bright! My gen 1 is very bright and view able as well.
