I walked in with a box full of parts to complete one and a half Pro 2 SD sleds. I called before hand to make sure he wasn’t to busy and was told to stop by. As soon as I walked in the door he cleared a space for me and without hesitation, started going through all the parts. He explained everything about the sled in full detail. The knowledge he gave me about my “new” rig was invaluable. Then he started putting the sled together explaining everything as he went about the correct torque, how to maintain and care for the rig, etc. He really took his time to make sure everything was correct and changed out the things that were not. He answered all of this newbie’s questions and explaining every aspect of the sled. The attention to detail and time he spent was unbelievable. I feel totally honored that the Owner of the company would take his time to do this for me and treat me no different then if I were buying a brand new rig. I received the same treatment several years ago when I brought in my VZ gimbal. Jack stopped what he was doing and completely serviced the gimbal explaining how to do everything myself. His passion for his products and care for his customers is unbelievable. I look forward to starting a long and lasting business relationship with PRO in the future. The whole team was great. A shot out to Tommy for the help with the center post and checking the electronics, Chad, Michelle, and dogs. This experience will not be forgotten. I wish you guys all the best in OR. When I was looking at film schools over 15 years ago, I chose a program based on the fact that they owned a steadicam. Unfortunately, they did not know anything about steadicam and had no interest in it at all. I was told that it just sat in a vault for years. They said I was the only students to “master” operating the thing. I was obsessed. I would practice all the time. I was asked to operate on everyone else’s final projects. It would be a few years before I took a real workshop where I first met Mr. Starling. I ultimately ended up buying that same Steadicam efp rig a few years after I graduated. Almost like it was meant to be. The Pro 2 was always my dream rig. It was my Ferrari poster. I started by buying a Pro Gimbal and vest. Now, I finally have almost two Pro 2 sleds with super post. It feels incredible owning the sled I’ve wanted for so long. Equally amazing is having the story of my experience with Pro and its owner.
