Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted March 7, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 7, 2014 Hi all, I have been working on fashion week for the last few years but not as steadicam op and I was wondering if any of you had any idea how I could use the steadicam there. I'm not sure what steadicam can offer to the show and it is always super crowded but I thought I'd ask.
Premium Members Mitch Mommaerts Posted March 8, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 8, 2014 That's a tough one. There's lots of great shots you can get but your positioning wouldn't be ideal or distracting. Would be cool to have in the editing room tough. Premium Members John Stout Posted March 8, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 8, 2014 We have a client that does Steadi for their fashion show, but it is all about post for the video so they don't care about the Steadi being in the way of the audience. I know on Victoria's they do a lot of shots, but I think those are cut in and done during rehearsal. I am sure a couple of the ops that work Victoria's can comment. For a show that is at Fashion Week, it would be tough unless they themed it as "production" and then it would work and not be as distracting.
