M-One missing screw

Hi,

I just noticed that I am missing a screw on my M-One motor.

Is it bad to use the motor as is? Or should I stop using it asap? The gear has a very slight play, not sure if it was like this before or not...

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement screw I'm in NYC? I'm scared of sending the motor in with all the stories I heard about servicing.

hey Victor,

an experienced machine shop owner will be able to drill a smaller shaft in the middle of the snapped screw and reverse the rotation of the drill and unscrew it. there are special drill heads compatible with this very precise work. you should find an experienced machinist in your area. it happened to me before and it is not as big of a deal as it seems.

fly safe.

Mm yes, thats not that good. Whatever you do, do not remove the screws in the stainless ring, the bearing underneath is pretty fiddly.

If you get stuck, send it to me, we can spark the screw out with the EDM hole burner and replace it for you.

Pete.
