Hey Guys,

I did some quick searching on the forum but I couldn't find any info on using an aircraft pin with the PRO arm to flip the socket block for quick switches between my back mounted vest and my garfield mount.

Can anyone recommend the exact piece that I should buy? Are there any issues or limitations to making this mod that I should be aware of?

Thanks!

hi Orlando,

hope it's OK i post here

we actually buy the aircraft pins from McMaster Carr. I'll send you the link for the one you need when I get to the office tomorrow. no need to buy it through us if you can get them direct in the US. but for some reason if you need a corperate account to order let me know and I can get you one

Blake, I'm sure with the specs and dimensions from the McMaster site you can find an aircraft pin manufacturer/ supplier in AU.

Let us know if you dont find one over there and need one of us to receive the Pin and then put it in the post for you, you just cover shipping and whatever paypal fees for getting the funds over to someone in the US.

Any thoughts on the sheer strength of any of these pins? I'm looking to use one on my Baer-Bel arm for this exact purpose. But I would be replacing the existing solid pin. One would think that forces required to sheer or deform an aircraft pin are beyond the capability of the arm strength to hold, but worth consideration... Hard mount + 3D rig + 100% capacity + full extension + sharp, twisting motion, etc...
