I'm pretty sure that is what SmallHD sends with their daybright DP7 if so it seems to work pretty well

sorry, not the same, according to the specs this one has a "matte" surface which will introduce glare in full sun.

 

The DayVue has an AR coating...

 

I've ordered a couple to test, we'll see..

Yes..you are right. But they also sell a version that is not matte and both are supposed to have AR Coating: http://displayschutz.3mdeutschland.de/mysunshadedisplay-adqc27.html

I think I will order one for my monitor and also try it out:)

I've received the screen filters today and tested them.

 

The Nushield DayVue AR filter had no positive impact on the visibility of my Transvideo HD6.

 

The Nushield Triple A , anti glare filter, had a clear negative impact on the visibility, by blurring the image under full sun.

 

Not recommended, at least for a Monitor like my HD6 that has a very good AR coating to begin with.

 

On the positive side, the application of the filter was very easy.

Jens, would you have the opportunity to test the DayVue on a non-daylight monitor, like a standard onboard TV Logic etc? I'd be curious if it has a positive impact there. Thanks.

The fact that it was similar in AR coating quality is , I believe, a good sign. They are one time use only. $ 10-20 and come pre cut for various models.
