Premium Members Rob Vuona SOC Posted April 11, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 11, 2014 I'm pretty sure that is what SmallHD sends with their daybright DP7 if so it seems to work pretty well
Premium Members Tilman Holzhauer Posted April 13, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 13, 2014 I found this german company that sells a similar product: http://displayschutz.3mdeutschland.de/mysunshadedisplay-dqcm30.html
Premium Members Jens Piotrowski SOC Posted April 13, 2014 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted April 13, 2014 sorry, not the same, according to the specs this one has a "matte" surface which will introduce glare in full sun. The DayVue has an AR coating... I've ordered a couple to test, we'll see..
Premium Members Tilman Holzhauer Posted April 13, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 13, 2014 Yes..you are right. But they also sell a version that is not matte and both are supposed to have AR Coating: http://displayschutz.3mdeutschland.de/mysunshadedisplay-adqc27.html I think I will order one for my monitor and also try it out:)
Premium Members Jens Piotrowski SOC Posted April 17, 2014 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted April 17, 2014 I've received the screen filters today and tested them. The Nushield DayVue AR filter had no positive impact on the visibility of my Transvideo HD6. The Nushield Triple A , anti glare filter, had a clear negative impact on the visibility, by blurring the image under full sun. Not recommended, at least for a Monitor like my HD6 that has a very good AR coating to begin with. On the positive side, the application of the filter was very easy. Premium Members Charles Papert Posted April 17, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 17, 2014 Jens, would you have the opportunity to test the DayVue on a non-daylight monitor, like a standard onboard TV Logic etc? I'd be curious if it has a positive impact there. Thanks.
Premium Members Jens Piotrowski SOC Posted April 17, 2014 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted April 17, 2014 The fact that it was similar in AR coating quality is , I believe, a good sign. They are one time use only. $ 10-20 and come pre cut for various models.
