Old habits diehard and I have always had a physical spirit level on my monitor from my Model 1 to my current PRO. I do have Chris's CDL and I like it very much, especially after the last software upgrade. But having the ability to cross reference my digital level has always been something I liked and before the CDL was finished I needed something. I had a few ideas and after speaking with Mike Kramer at Keslow this is what we came up with. It is very solid and stable once tightened down and it can raise up or sit almost flush with the display.

This is the only one he has made (short of the plastic 3D prototype) and I'm sure there are some other similar versions out there, but if your curious then shoot Mike an email. I have no interest in this other than hoping that maybe someone else would find it helpful.

Cheers!

John Joyce

Sorry for the late reply. I checked with Mike and there was a typo in the spelling on the email. It should be-- mikramer@sbcglobal.net

My apologies, I don't check in here to often.

This is a great piece of kit. Highly recommended. It can also be used equally well on a SmallHD High Bright or any other monitor that has a 1/4-20 thread on top (or bottom if you use a yoke mount). Once flush, it only needs one screw to secure it onto your monitor. Two come with for the Cinetronic which it fits onto perfectly. Level vial pivots for correct positioning for level and then locks into place. One of my favorite little gadgets in quite awhile. A physical spirit level is something you should have on your rig. It never needs power and is always there in case your digital level freaks out or dies. Nicely done.

I just took delivery of two (one for each of my Cinetronic 2 monitors) of Michael's spirit level brackets. They attach via two included screws into the top of the monitor, and the fit is good with no play. The spirit level adjusts/pivots with one locking screw in front, and I made sure to "sync" it with a spirit level on my dovetail plate before locking it down (I plan to check it periodically to make sure the monitor or level hasn't moved - thus making the it inaccurate). The unit is more robust than the pictures on the forum indicate and the level is larger than I imagined - both good things. It is well made and works exactly as it should. The build quality is very solid, and it is an excellent value for the price - highly recommended for owners of the Cinetronic 2 monitor.
