Premium Members Daniel Stilling DFF Posted September 29, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 29, 2005 Erwin, You didn't get my point. I'm not here to say that the Preston is a bad product. How could I? After years and years of aproval from numerous proffessionals who am I to say it sucks? My point was to point out that even a good product can suffer from failures, no mather how much you pay for it. And 16.000 or 20.000 ether value is a lot of money, and yes, I've done my math. I'm sure you can spend a lot more than 20.000 if you want, with options and upgrades, I'm sorry for my lack on monetary precission  Dan
Premium Members Joshua Harrison Posted October 6, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 6, 2005 Hello, Just wanted to give a quick thanks to Jim for quick and excellent service today on my Bartech. I have used Preston's and Bartechs now for years and purchased a Bartech earlier this year. It has operated flawlessly and with the new marking rings that I just used on a feature it is now quicker than ever to set up and extremely accurate. Bang for your buck the Bartech is an excellent product. As to my Bartech that needed repair today, a cable was incorrectly wired (oops!) and big suprise, electronics don' t really like voltage applied to places it was not meant to be applied. I drove to Jim's and he had me back out the door all fixed up in like 10 minutes or so. Anyhow, anyone who is thinking of going with a Bartech can buy this product with confidence. It's easy and fast to use and dollar to dollar a great buy. Joshua Harrison P.S. Thanks again Jim
Eric Young
Ummm let's not get started on the Aladin piece of garbage. It's neither a Lens control System or a Focus device. It's an abortion. (I know I spent 6 months with two of them "controlling" iris on a HD series, they don't work) Can you elaborate on "don't work"? What about the Chrosziel Mag Fox - any experience of that model? Thanks for any info.
