What is everyone powering off their 12/24 3 pin lemo connectors on the Cine Live? Other than the BFD or Preston up front of course. I presently power my BFD with one wired for 12 volts. But what would folks recommend also having made? 3 pin to Female D Tap? What is the Amp limit on cables plugged there as opposed to the much larger 3 pin CAM Pwr connector? It usually runs the Decimator, Paralinx and an HDMI to SDI converter if need with smaller cameras. Our Paralinx is on a 2 pin lemo on that J box though and the Parlinx USB to Lemo are 2 pin cables so nobody lets the white smoke out of the Paralinx by accident. We also power smaller cameras off of that port with Terry West cables. For 5D and a Panasonic camera we use a lot we have battery emulators to that connector. For BlackMagic we have a cable with that end as well. Also power the teleprompter monitor off of it via 3 pin to 4 pin XLR. John Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I send them to Terry and he puts a cable and 3 pin lemo on them. They look just like the camera battery, just have a cable coming out. That being said, I imagine you would probably max out the post cabling (from the aux battery) far before the connector. I would bet that you could at least put 3-5 amps on it no problem. The 24v side you could probably do even more since the 24v is made using the same two batteries as the camera connector. Hypothetically you could probably power an Alexa off of it (~5.5 amps at 24v) though I would never tell anyone to do it. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
