Premium Members Tom Wills Posted June 17, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 17, 2014 I'm coming out to LA with a small commercial I'm working on, and I'm trying to save on space and weight, since I have to fly with my entire gear package, and the arm I'm flying right now needs a bigger case than it's worth. Would anyone have a PRO arm they can rent to me for those 2 days? I don't have a ton of budget, but it's worth me spending the money to have the right arm for the job, and not have to deal with my big arm case. Also might be interested in a rolling American stand if anyone has one free as well. Email me - willsvideo@gmail.com. Thanks!
Moderators Janice Arthur Posted June 19, 2014 Moderators Report Share Posted June 19, 2014 Tom Just an idea but ditch the case put the Arm in the center of your vest and pack in extra clothes around it and check it just like a bag of luggage. This was always the way I and many many others did for decades before everyone got worried about arms If you're really still concerned drop the whole bag in a Rubbermaid bin that has snap closings and write your name and address on it with a sharpie and you're done. Costs $15. Way less than any arm rental and you'll be using your arm which is what you're used to. Lastly why 'give away' most of this job's profit to an arm rental?? Keep the $200-500. For yourself!! Good luck Janice
