Adam Berland
Hey Guys, I was thinking buying a Steadicam Pilot AA"Barely Used" and someone I know is selling it for $2300. By the way, I'll be getting my certification pretty soon. Do you think it's worth it or should I talk him down? However, should I wait till I get little more money in my pocket and get a bigger one? Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted June 24, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 24, 2014 If you can I would recommend you go with the Anton Bauer or V-Mount batteries instead of the AA system. It will avoid you a lot of issues.

Moderators Janice Arthur Posted June 24, 2014 Moderators Report Share Posted June 24, 2014 Adam Personally, take your class first then buy. You dont know much as you will after the class and then u can decide better. Also use your complete name. Its always easy to hand someone money its much harder to figure out good deals from bad and who's to say the advise you heed here is the best advise for you? New used rigs pop up all the time and maybe a better one even. Janice

Upgrade from AA to V is expensive though - around $400 for the battery mount.Best, Frank
Nikk Hearn-Sutton SOC
This is sort of funny because Janice and I were just talking about the same thing a couple hours ago. Take the class and decide if it's for you I will say this... Make sure it's what you want and if you're going to grow out of it anytime soon and look towards the future and make sure you have everything you need to start off. I myself have a unit that I've grown out of and looking for the next best rig.
