Premium Members Osvaldo Silvera SOC Posted August 5, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 5, 2014 Hi folks, I get the Fuji 19-90 with servo lens a bit and saw that my regular Fuji zoom control 12 pin cable does not go into that lens. And while looking under there, saw that there is a focus controler and a zoom controler connector. So... Has anyone had a cable jumper made from the 12 pin broadcast fuji to the new cabrio fuji, and how about the focus? Is there a cable from the bartech to the focus connector? to not have to mount a motor? thoughts.... GO!
Premium Members Alan Rencher Posted August 5, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 5, 2014 Hi Ozzie, there isn't anything for Bartech. The Cabrio requires a control box that translates the signal. There is such a box for Preston and CMotion, I believe.

Premium Members Andrew Ansnick Posted August 30, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 30, 2014 Best thing I've found to do with those lenses is use a Preston and pass off that handset :)
Premium Members Walter F. Rodriguez Posted August 30, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 30, 2014 Even the Alexa which is my favorite camera has issues with controlling the lens.
Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted August 31, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 31, 2014 The motors in the handle aren't as powerful as a DM1. If you have the choice, I would go with external motors.
Premium Members Mike Germond SOC Posted August 31, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 31, 2014 (edited) My G-zoom mates with the 19-90 Cabrio's onboard handgrip controller with no extra boxes or cables. The handgrip uses the same Fuji standard as ENG lenses. I used it to zoom my own lens on a post produced multicam show for NBC Sports where we wanted the look and depth of cinema glass on a 35mm sensor. I had someone pull my focus but the controller worked for both. Edited August 31, 2014 by Mike Germond

I had someone pull my focus but the controller worked for both. I tried my G-Zoom on a Cabrio the other week and couldn't get full range of the focus. Every time I went through the range on the G-Zoom I only got a limited range on the lens. Did you have any issues like this or did it work for you Mike? Premium Members Mike Germond SOC Posted February 22, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 22, 2015 Like I mentioned, someone else was pulling my focus. I had simply plugged in the G-zoom to see that it fit. I didn't do any extensive testing on the range. Now I'm curious to see if I could reproduce your results, but I don't have a Cabrio readily available.
Premium Members James Puli Posted February 22, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 22, 2015 I use my G-zoom with my 19-90 lens no problems at all. There are a series of dip switches on the front of the handgrip controller that help control the settings etc. When you power the camera up with the controller on there, the lens should cycle through the full range on the zoom, focus etc so Blake maybe you had a power cycling thing? Will have another play when i get a chance!
