Premium Members chris bangma Posted August 18, 2014 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted August 18, 2014 Is it based off of the Vitec Sprint? http://www.vitec.com/products/encoders/portable-encoders/product/show/MGW-Sprint/ The transmitter is completely custom built from the ground up, with film use in mind. It uses a high speed FPGA with custom programming for the compression, which allows it to compress in less than 1 frame, and have very low power consumption. We have a selection of radios, allowing us to tailor the transmitter to the need of the customer. These can be on licensed or unlicensed frequencies. We can also feed external radios, for ultra long distance transmission of 20+ miles. The transmitter will handle all hd-sdi and hdmi video formats, all processing is handled in FPGA which allows easy changes any time a new format comes out.
