Premium Members Ramon Engle Posted September 19, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 19, 2014 I need a better mdr3 bracket to mount from 15mm rods. Any ideas? My current version is too offset. Looking for a version that centers the mass.
Premium Members brett.mayfield Posted September 25, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 25, 2014 this is what is configured on most of the cvolution camins (mdr). its a clamp with v-mount clip which attaches to a v-clip screwed into the camin. its nice that it winds up centered and can be rotated around the rod. only issue is it sticks out a bit, but not too bad when under the lens. which rig are you running? i dont know how you like to mount the mdr, but i have been velcro+bongo tieing the camin to the underside of my pro t-bracket, and when using an mdr i try to acquire an mdr dovetail mount. (http://gpiprosystems.com/accessories.php) ill be in atlanta with it in a few days if you have any interest in checking it out.

Premium Members Aaron Haesler Posted October 17, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 17, 2014 I've really enjoyed using this one which you could rig a rod mount bracket to quite easily. It's designed by Toronto camera assistant Kar Wai Ng. Here's the link: http://www.karwaing.com/mdr-cheeseplate/
