Premium Members David Allen Grove Posted September 23, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 23, 2014 What transmitter package do you own? Why do you like it? How is the Customer Service? How much did you pay?
Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted September 24, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 24, 2014 I don't own one now because it was always such a pain in the butt to get extra from production for the xmitter (we aren't using a simple and relatively cheap modulus w/tuner anymore). I had a Boxx and it always made production and the assistants happy...though they are pretty $$$. I know a few ops who just use a cable (unless the shot is too complicated) because of the little known health concerns with these little radio stations next to our heads. I wish we had time for the xmitter shootout! Maybe over Xmas break we can put one together to see a few side by side.Charles is a master at setting up this sort of thing -- those years of web-dating on Carney.com has paid off (at least in organizational qualities)
Sandro Galv
I am using CW-3 and teradek (bolt and bolt 2000) But I prefer CW-3 from IDX!
Premium Members Jens Piotrowski SOC Posted September 24, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 24, 2014 CW-3 from IDX is nice but needs to support PSF, they are working on it.....
Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted September 24, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 24, 2014 I use the original Paralinx Arrow. Not the best, but it's cheap and gets the job done. If production wants something better they are free to rent it.
Premium Members Eric Fletcher S.O.C. Posted September 24, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 24, 2014 I have a bolt and a bolt 2000. Both work exactly as intended and Teradek has great customer support. verdict? Major hit!
Premium Members chris fawcett Posted September 25, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 25, 2014 I've had the Transvideo Titan HD since it first came out. Does SD and HD, and always works. Best of all, never a question or complaint from video village.
Premium Members Jens Piotrowski SOC Posted September 25, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 25, 2014 Boxx has a new Meridian coming out too... http://boxx.tv/next-generation-for-ibc-2014/
Premium Members William Demeritt Posted September 25, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 25, 2014 I've got a CW-3, works great, cost effective, external antennas give great range. Once psf is solved, it'll be even better.
Premium Members Alan Rencher Posted September 25, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 25, 2014 That new meridian looks cool. I like devices with smart phone control (I love interfacing with my GoPro with my Android phone.) I wonder if the price point of the new Meridian will be in line with currently available systems based on the same technology.

Moderators Louis Puli SOC Posted September 25, 2014 Moderators Report Share Posted September 25, 2014 I have been using the Boxx Meridian system for the last 4-5 years and loved it. Simple Plug and play every time .Silence at Video villiage is priceless the director always has a picture. All the guys and girls at Boxx Customer Service in Australia and England have been outstanding .For all of this Yes it comes at a price $15K each But they have paid for themselves .So much so I now own 4 systems . Premium Members Daniel Stilling DFF Posted September 27, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 27, 2014 I own Paralinx products. I have an Arrow+ with receivers attached to SmallHD monitors. It works great and always a hit on set. I also have now the Arrow-X, which shares the same chassis with the Tomahawk. It works great, with the advertised range of 700ft seeming very conservative, as I have had great success through all sorts of walls as well. Service is top notch. They get back to you within a few hours. Once I had a TX get wet, and they sent a loaner overnight immediately, so I had it next day. They are very attentive. Can't go wrong with them...
