Premium Members Blake Waldock Posted October 25, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 25, 2014 I've been looking into wiring my rig so all my batteries are permanently in parallel, however in speaks B&H with Jack it seems I'll lose the option to supply 24v... I had a switch on my old setup which I could select either parallel or separate, which I sorely miss! Has anyone made a mod to their CineLive setup to allow for parallel? I was thinking of making the mod within the jumper block so it's not a permanent rig mod and I've already bought some schottky diodes ready to wire in under my battery plates also... Thanks everyone
Premium Members Mike Germond SOC Posted October 26, 2014 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 26, 2014 You will always lose 24v mode when wiring 12v in Parallel. It's best to modify a jumper block you don't need (or buy an extra) so you can always revert to a 24v config using 2 or 3 batteries. David Hable did my "any plate, any number of batteries" 12v Parallel jumper block. No need to put the diodes in the battery plates, put them in the Jumper blocks. It has the same effect and is non-permanent. It can get hot, so David built a heatsink onto mine.
