Has any one else out there ordered the new "cineranger" from Cinetronic?

I was looking forward to trying it out and ordered one a month ago but so far apparently Chris is still waiting on parts.

I didn't realise that they were not actually in stock when I paid for it and this was never made clear, personally I don't like to spend money unless I get something I can use in return.

I am hoping it will be ready for shipping soon but so far it has been 3 weeks of "we will have the parts next week"

I would be interested to hear if anyone else is waiting for the same thing, having since looked up Cinetronic on the forum it appears this is not uncommon...

Jens, I've heard this before about the legal aspects of how much you can ask for in a down payment, but I'm curious to know what the actual statute or legalese is regarding this.

William, welcome to the "next week" club. You'll be hearing that for a while.

If anybody is going to throw caution to the wind at this point and give this company their money despite the countless complaints here and elsewhere, at least protect yourself. Check out PayPal's refund policy. I do think PayPal will take up the fight to get your money back for undelivered products within certain guidelines. Credit card companies are very good about this too if you do it within a certain timeframe.

Hi all;

An important distinction here to note is that credit cards can get you refunds but debit cards are harder or impossible to get refunded so as you deal with on-line purchases the buyer should investigate the differences. PayPal certainly is a good option too for the buyer.

William good luck and others who are with you.

I really hate reading this ongoing issue.

The ongoing pattern of behavior from this particular vendor is unprofessional, deceptive and tiresome. It exemplifies the worst darkest corner of our culture.

Any vendor who manufactures and sells material for our community should have them in stock, be able to back them up, and provide reasonably well timed customer support.

Immoral, and possibly illegal, behavior like this only diminishes the quality of our overall community and the way we support each other.

I speak from a position of being both an operator, & a vendor of small accessories.

It is reprehensible to take someone's money and then not deliver the goods.

Best to all,

Peter Abraham, S.O.C.

Why would anyone in their right mind do business with this company?

I totally agree, Rich. I'd love a show of hands to know just how many people have given this company money, and then another show of hands how many of them have actually received what they've paid for. It's borderline criminal.
