Premium Members RobVanGelder Posted September 14, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 14, 2005 Sure you can run. The only thing I have experienced is that it can take you a bit longer to get on speed. The frontmounted vest is already pulling you over and that helps for running, the backmounted vest gives you a different balance on your heels and toes and therefore needs (at least in my body) some more power to start up. Premium Members Tomas Szklarski Posted September 16, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 16, 2005 as far as I know, the flyer arm won't work with Walter's vest. This information is from NAB.
Premium Members Sven Joukes Posted September 16, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 16, 2005 Hi, I think that's right, Walter's vest has a socket block for the larger type arms, and I don't think you can replace it with a smaller one... I met Walter earlier this week at IBC, and I must say he made a strong impression on me. He gave me a full and very comprehensive explanation of his design, as well as a hands on test of it. The vest felt incredible! He measured me right away, so if I ever wanted to order a vest (which I'm very likely to do... ;) ), he could make it right away, without me having to go over to his shop. (great service even before you're a customer!) Best, Sven
Matt Burton
I kinda gathered the back mounted vest was only for larger rigs and maybe i need a larger rig (santa) !!!!! Would i be right in thinking the back mounted design will smoothe out walking due to the weight distrobution. And a front mount better for running shots. Unless runnig backwards, is this practical with the back mounted design ? chees -matt
Premium Members benedictspence Posted September 16, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 16, 2005 Hi dudes! Have done a fair bit of running this week with my back mounted vest I will say that yes you can absolutly run with it. Rob is totally right (in my opinion) however. Because of the difference in the way the weight is distributed across you body rather that infront of you it take a little longer to get up to speed- but I do feel alot better balanced even when running. Again just want to add how damn great my new Klassen Vest is and how damn nice the Klassen FX guys are... Think there should be a new forum www.howgreatisklassenforum.com Ben Spence
