Premium Members Deke Keener Posted August 24, 2016 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 24, 2016 Hey Gary (and others with the BVB07) - I recently had a cable made to power my BVB07 from my CineLive's "Monitor Power" 8 pin Lemo port, and while it powers the monitor fine, I notice that my tally light is now on. This is without any tally light signal being sent (i.e. using a film camera) and I'm wondering if the cable is wired wrong or if that's somehow normal. Any help appreciated. Cheers, - Deke
Premium Members Alan Rencher Posted August 24, 2016 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 24, 2016 Deke, it is a bug in the monitor. Boland is aware of it, and they were working on a fix last I checked. Hopefully Gary will chime in.

Premium Members James Baldanza SOC Posted August 27, 2016 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 27, 2016 I have the same issue with the one I use. I put black paper tape over it since I don't need it.

Premium Members John E Fry Posted April 18, 2017 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 18, 2017 I had a BVB07 to test end of last summer, and frankly it saved the day! Simply could not have seen my usual monitor in the direct, midday sunlight, even with it's hood, so it was just great luck I had it for that particular shoot. We were so impressed we made a quick video about the monitor: Happy flying everyone!
Premium Members Gary Litwin Posted September 20, 2017 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted September 20, 2017 Hi everyone, A few weeks back I noticed some postings on / for rain covers. mike skipp
Hey Gary Is this a free upgrade?
Premium Members Gary Litwin Posted March 29, 2018 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted March 29, 2018 Hi Mike, To be honest it would have absolutely been free (just like all of our other updates...even those that have to be modded in-house).....but the older units can't be upgraded for this (at all). I guess we had to actually change the hardware, and even the casing was modified (very slightly) as a result. Some original BVB07 owners are getting new replacements. If it's at all helpful (??)....I am offering a monster discount to all Original owners. Just contact me offline and I'm happy to share what the savings is... And....again....my sincerest apologies for not being able to upgrade them. I have pushed our eng team for this for a few years. I really wish we had a way to do it....
