Maybe it's just me, but when you advertise a "Preston FI&Z Package" for sale, shouldn't it actually be a 3 channel system. Focus, Iris and Zoom.

There are a lot of young up and commers watching this site, honesty is always the best policy.

You only have 2 motors.

There is no microforce.

Both need cables. And back ups.

So, anywhere from $2,500-$6,000 for above components. Ancient versus new.

You have Focus and Iris, but no Zoom.

I'm just saying.......................................Caveat Emptor

thanks Lance. As far as the Mircro Force if anyone is interested in it I have it to go along with the package. And the motors do have cables as listed. Everything is negotiable. As Greg pointed out it does only have 2 motors but if you need a third I can probably manage to find one. i am keeping one of mine for my new follow focus.

Shad, that is actually a HU2 because it has the led zoom bar graph.

I thought that only the HU1 would talk to the MDR1? I'm pretty sure that my old HU1 had the same LED bar on it but NOT the switch on the side of the handset that the HU2's had (I never owned an HU2 but was it a snorkel lens switch?)

Ian,

There were several improvements over the years on the HU1s I believe. the eariler ones did not have the LED bargraph, nor the zoom set/reset switch.

At the same time there were some HU2s that were "dumbed down" to work with the MDR1s when they first came out. But generally HU2s only talk to G3 wireless MDR2s and HU1s only talk to mircowave-capable MDR1s.

So this may be one of those "dumb-downed" HU2s, or it could be a late gen HU1.
