KHSargenius
If the operarator was Robby Aganus, the the rig is a home made affair. He is into engineering. Can't say I've seen the rig. Yes, Rob used his homemade rig on The Matrix. From the pictures of the Panaglide I'd say Rob's rig looks **very** similar, if not identical, except it's made of carbon fibre, very light (as far as I can tell).  Rob was kind enough to do a shot with his rig for me on a low budget short film just over a year ago.    cheers,  Kim Sargenius  Young DP Sydney

Premium Members Brad Hruboska Posted March 12, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 12, 2004 Was visiting a old D.P. friend of mine and he had this shot of him in a panaglide. Back in the 80's when they just strapped you in a let you go.....huge heavy, but a nice battery.....the vest is enormous, who did they model this on?
Premium Members Brad Hruboska Posted March 12, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 12, 2004 Actually my own major weight limit was the IMAX MSN camera shown here on my old pro/3a hybrid......45 lbs I think? Plus weight of sled......I carried a backpack for batteries on this occasion, 36 volt camera you know.....wicked torque when it starts up.....but a real Tim tool time Taylor moment....wooof!
