Hi guys,

I am trying to figure out what the problem is here:

All screws have been checked, but still get this wiggle from the top stage with the post.

Never dealt with something like this before.

Any advise/help to get this sorted will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Rupert

take off the top stage and make sure it is seated flush on the post? I have seen a topstage like that on a MK-V carbon fiber post that didn't sit quite right. It didn't have play, but it wasn't level. Perhaps the two pieces have a bit of a gap in them?

The other thought I have is perhaps the screws are a bit too long. If they bottom out they will feel tight, but won't be able to tighten down enough to hold the top stage on.

Could be that the aluminium plug in the end of the post has come loose. The bonding may have broken. There should be a few grub screws in there too, or pins to keep it in place which is why its not coming completely off.

Take the stage off and re insert the screws and get some leverage on it. see if it's moving.

Or as Jarrett said screws might be too long, but less likely if you have had it working in the past.

Good luck.

Best,

Rich.
