Premium Members Alex Leung Posted April 24, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 24, 2015 Neat. The only situation where I can see this being an issue is that sometimes in tight sets, the camera is already too long and the operator is already asking to have the back battery taken off. In that scenario, it isn't quick to move the MDR somewhere else. You'll need to change out the mounting system to put the MDR elsewhere on the camera. I think a good way to mitigate this issue is to build in a 3/8" screw so you can quickly screw it onto the handle or something in those scenarios. Premium Members Kar Wai Ng Posted April 24, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 24, 2015 I thought this was pretty neat except you've got cables coming out the bottom, which is cable murder if you put the camera on the ground or on a box, for handheld, etc...just not a good area to have connectors stick out.
