Premium Members Thomas Gottschalk Posted March 25, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 25, 2015 Looks like an Actioncam Zero-G. I think they are made in Switzerland. http://www.actionproducts.ch

Nathaniel C. T. Jackson
Are Actioncam considered any good? There products look very interesting and the Raptor system looks very cool and almost affordable. (Or I have converted the currency totally wrong)

There products look very interesting and the Raptor system looks very cool and almost affordable. (Or I have converted the currency totally wrong) Actioncam are fantastic rigs! I have the Raptor rig with a slightly upgraded sled. I love it. IMHO the arm is as smooth like all the other professional arms (PRO, G-50, G-70...), the vest is very comfortable, the sled modular. You should try the actioncam Nathaniel. It is a topnotch rig. And as your skills get better you´ll be able to upgrade here and there. You can change the springs to adjust the weight range... Nathaniel C. T. Jackson
Damn, I really want to now. I've read through several posts on them via the search tool. They seem like the perfect option for some one in my position. I was thinkng of the Zephyr but it has a few things that bother me so not super excited by it. I just wish I had checked out the Raptor when we were in Switzerland at the start of the year. I don't know if they have any representation here in Australia but I'll email them n find out. Premium Members Marc R. Berger Posted April 1, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 1, 2015 When I bought it I had to make the same decision. But now, I would rather compare the build quality from the raptor with the archer then the Zephyr. I´m using it with the normal springs (not the heavy weight ones) and my average setup is around 12 kg. I don´t think they have a office in Australia, but you can easily change a cable running through the post yourself. And they have such a great service and are very responsive and friendly, so the distance should not be a problem.
Patrick Morgan
Actioncam Rebel Pro owner here. Great modular system. My only complaint is that my Rebel Pro arm has no adjustment screws in the Vest-Arm Connector. Since their backmount vest has two sets of adjustments (fore-aft and side-to-side), it's not a problem. It only becomes a problem if you want to upgrade to a front mount vest, that only has fore-aft adjustments in the socket block. Just my two cents. Apart from that glitch, it's a great system. Smooth ride on the arm. High load capacity. Very upgradable and customizable sled (my new Quattro Monitor Arm is actually on it's way in the mail right now!) Nathaniel C. T. Jackson
I spoke with the guys at ActionProducts, they don't have any reps in Aus but are happy to cover the shipping charge as part of their money back guarantee. Which is really good as spending that much money sight unseen is a hard ask.
