Premium Members Jamie Hammond Posted October 13, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 13, 2005 Hey Afton, I dont know anything about theses guys bar looking into buying some kit for a Sony Z1, but they do all sorts of gears and follow focus kits for dv. With so many people wanting to use these cameras now, even on commercials thought Id get in on the act and actually buy a camera and kit it out properly. good luck....from one elite owner to another J http://www.jbkcinequipt.com/PRODUCTS.htm
Premium Members Afton Grant Posted October 13, 2005 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted October 13, 2005 Thanks Jamie! A fellow in CA contacted me and I bought a focus ring off of him, so I'm all set with that for now. However, thanks for the link. I'll definitely check it out for other accessories. I know I need some rods and a couple other things. Best, Afton

George Grammatikos
hi as for the pulley and the rig for the model shop it work great i have focus in all the dv but it works only with manual callibration of lens (bartech) and you can understand why i will have photos as soon as the script e-mail it to me . as for the ff with servos , i have made it in the past the unit work great with video lenses , the secret is to change the reference resistance(pontesiometre) but if you want my opinion Bartech is the way to go i will come back with photos P.S. the standom cranes use the r/c servo for focus (always video lens)
Premium Members Erwin Landau Posted October 21, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 21, 2005 There are 2 profesional style Focus rings available for the DVX 100/A One is a full circle pull on ring that goes for about $100.- in conjuction with the online focus chart you can calibrate the lens. To work with Preston you have to manually stop the Lens at each end. The other one is a very fancy unit that introduces hard stops to the lens. It's a 8 piece 3-D puzzle. And goes for around $350.- It's made by Schneider I believe. Both can be purchase at Abelcine Tech. Hope that helps, Erwin
