Premium Members JensSchroeder Posted May 14, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 14, 2015 Any ideas or advices how I get the connection between the Pro2 Junction Box and the Pro2 Donkeybox tighter. There is a very minimal play and I believe the rare occuring jitter comes from this little play. Thanks in advance, jens

Morgan Posted May 15, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 15, 2015 The pro 2 junction box actually fits over the piece that goes from the post collar to the donkey box screws. It is secured to the junction box via two small phillips head screws inside the junction box. That is the only thing I can think of. Of course make sure your 4 long lead screws are tight as well. Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted May 15, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 15, 2015 Have you checked the set screws that get rid of the play in the side to side and fore/aft adjustments? There is a video on how to do it on PRO's site. If it's not tight enough the top of the db2 can move around.
Premium Members JensSchroeder Posted May 15, 2015 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted May 15, 2015 Thanks Jess, I checked that too. Today I noticed even more jitter and noticed that the connection of the bayonet which is screwed to the Junction Box has play although I tighten the 2 screws inside the Junction Box to the maximum. Any idea how to fix this problem. Have you checked the set screws that get rid of the play in the side to side and fore/aft adjustments? There is a video on how to do it on PRO's site. Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted May 15, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 15, 2015 Are the screws coming loose? If so the threads may be stripped. The 4 screws connecting the dbox are the ones that should really matter. Is there play between the bayonet and the post? Where are you located? Premium Members JensSchroeder Posted May 15, 2015 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted May 15, 2015 Hi Jess, I'm in germany unfortunately. It's strange, the 2 screws connecting the J-Box with the Bayonet don't come loose but when I swing the post back and forth, holding the J-box, you can feel the play of the round part which connects the bayonet with the J-Bix. With a camera on top (means more weight) you even can see the play. Maybe I have to change the 2 screws. Are the screws coming loose? If so the threads may be stripped.
