Tiffen docking bracket stuck.

Has anyone had any problems with a Tiffen docking bracket (pre gore-lock version) getting stuck with the yoke in the 'in' position? Something seems to have come loose inside and is stopping it from being extended. Is it possible to disassemble the bracket?

update! the rod with the balancing stud on now won't go back in more than half way, and when i'm trying to pull the yoke out the silver hanging pins either side of the bracket underneath the release pin move, as if they are somehow connected to whatever is causing the blockage.
