Premium Members Dale Vance Jr. Posted June 10, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 10, 2015 I have had this video sitting around for about ten years. It was given to me by a friend when I first became interested in steadicam. It seemed about time to get it out for all to see. Im not sure who originated the video, but no one else has ever posted it. The video is of Ted at Victor Duncan Camera house, doing a demo on the setup, balance, and basic operating of his Model 2 sled. I'm guessing mid 80's but someone might know better. Enjoy. https://youtu.be/TFDFcFPC28I Dale Vance, Jr.

Premium Members Chris Van Campen Posted June 12, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 12, 2015 This is great, thanks Dale!! I love the bit about jogging in place to help settle the vest - er, suit - into place. Great tip!
Premium Members Dale Vance Jr. Posted June 12, 2015 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted June 12, 2015 I don't know how to respond individually, but I'm glad everyone in enjoying the video. I hope everyone can take a little something away from it. I know I did.
Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted June 13, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 13, 2015 I now use that method of balancing the rig -- no more stands or fancy docking brackets for me!! A great time watching Uncle Teddy!
Moderators Janice Arthur Posted June 13, 2015 Moderators Report Share Posted June 13, 2015 Hi all; I have a copy off the original from one of the engineers at Victor Duncan who shot it, John Christenson, who made sure I got a copy since I knew Ted. I started to post it but, of course, never did; I'm so happy to see that Dale did, this is very good. A real piece of history and funny that we're still learning from it let, alone fun gazing at the maker of it. What a wonderful world.
