Premium Members Afton Grant Posted October 18, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 18, 2005 Looking for a practice cage and a low mode cage jasoncortazzo@msn.com 484-431-8320 I just got a call from my machinist that a practice cage design I gave him is ready for pickup. I'll take some pictures and send them along if it looks good. Look for them tomorrow. If it's something you like, I'll have him run off another for you. Call if you have any questions, Afton Grant 781-883-4235 This offer is for anyone else that might be looking for a cage as well. ALSO: I spoke with Mike O'Shea recently about his practice cages, which are probably some of the best I've seen. He said he'll probably be ordering a new run of them in 2-3 weeks. You could probably give him a call then and see if his are ready.

Premium Members Jason Cortazzo Posted October 26, 2005 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted October 26, 2005 Hello Everyone, Thank you for all of the input. I think I am going to go with Mike O'Shea's cage. It is offered in different weights and has oh so many holes in both the top and bottom plates. Thank you, Jason Cortazzo
Premium Members Jason Torbitt Posted November 3, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 3, 2005 I'll give Rob's cage a plug for anyone interested, I have one of these and it does the business well, I've had everything in it from a MiniDV/HDV point of view, regular and low mode. Also comes apart to use as single weight plates to go with mid-weight cameras. Just a happy customer :)
Premium Members RobVanGelder Posted November 3, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 3, 2005 thanks, Jason! I still have one available, probably the last one because more people are now supplying/making them. For me, it was not really a business, more something to help others. And you can not really earn a lot of these simple constructions, where the postage is almost more than the value of the cage! Anyway, for now, the last one still available! Premium Members RobVanGelder Posted November 9, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 9, 2005 Giudo, shipping to europe is between 80 and 120 euro, This is what is costs, it´s a heavy package with a low value/high volume. I tried to send it in pieces in the beginning but then it was opened and some parts were lost some people are put off by the shipping costs, I know
Matt Burton
Can you get an external manufacture rob ? -matt :D Edited November 10, 2005 by 4mat
Premium Members RobVanGelder Posted November 10, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 10, 2005 I´m not sure what you mean by that. I can make these cages for a reasonable price here because the labour corts in Thailand are low, that is something that is a real problem elsewhere.
