Hey Simon,

Welcome to the forum! We try to use full names only if you could contact an admin to switch your username.

If you dig through the threads here you will find a lot of great info that is invaluable to any operator looking to start.

As far as choosing a rig goes if you are making an investment I would not suggest you buy a rig solely for the reason that it flies the camera you own unless you are looking to only use it for personal projects and not upgrade in the future. I might suggest asking yourself what types of productions and what cameras you see yourself working with in a couple years and if the arm/rig you are looking into will be able to support/power the weight and accessories of those cameras?

Easy answer: Tiffen's Pilot/Scout

Hi Nick,

Sorry about that. I'd linked the account with my Facebook page. I'll contact an admin after this message.

The camera in question is really only for personal projects. I wouldn't be looking to change it in the foreseeable future. In your post, you said that it 'flies the camera' - I'm not quite sure what you meant.

I apologise for asking lots of questions, I'm just quite keen on getting something sorted. I wondered if something like this would do the job or if my particular camera wouldn't suit it.

Sorry, you're probably used to professionals on here!

Simon
