jakub.friso
Hello guys, I am new to steadicam and i have problems with adjusting the arm, i set it to hold the weight of the sled, it moves smoothly while moving up and down but when I move, the Arms dont jiggle very much and i think they dont surpress the movement. Is it just supposed to be like that, or the training will help it? I dont know ...

Premium Members Jerry Holway Posted August 21, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 21, 2015 Please show us a video. The most likely explanation is that the arm isn't made very well, but without a video, it's hard to tell. And if I understand your description correctly, it's clear the arm should not do what you describe.

Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted August 23, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 23, 2015 Wow so many things are wrong with this video.- his vest is not set properly, the center spar is not vertical.- the gimbal is way too low on the center post. Needs much more weight on the bottom stage to compensate for the camera.- he is holding the gimbal above instead of under.- he doesn't check for drop time. Moderators Janice Arthur Posted August 23, 2015 Moderators Report Share Posted August 23, 2015 Jakub; The factory training video that you uploaded doesn't show us your problem. Is this you in the video? We need to see what you are doing to evaluate what you're doing right and wrong and to give proper feedback. Good luck.
