Premium Members maxfischer Posted September 3, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 3, 2015 I was so amazed by this that I went to their website for more details. Read the F.A.Q. It says you need something static in your frame to produce these results. Our jobs are safe! For the moment...
Premium Members Shawn Wang Posted September 3, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 3, 2015 as long as the post house is still ripping the productions off. we are still in the game. sometimes 10 takes is cheaper than fix it in post. thats what i feel
Premium Members chris fawcett Posted September 4, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 4, 2015 It's not all about how steady the frame is. It's also the emotional impact of how you move it. Chris
Premium Members Libor Cevelik Posted September 4, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 4, 2015 if you really thing that our job is about to make image steady/static then you really don't understand what the job is. Premium Members Peter Hoare Posted September 4, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 4, 2015 Presumably this is going to crop in on your original image quite a bit isnt it, you would have to take your wobbly unstabilised shot really wide knowing that the stabiliser was going to crop in on just the middle of the frame.... Clever though
Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted September 4, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 4, 2015 Wonder if they "roughed up" some of the original footage?
Premium Members chris fawcett Posted September 4, 2015 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 4, 2015 Ron, No need, they just copied it straight from my showreel. Chris
Mariano Costa
Don't worry. It seems that the current version is tough to set up properly and takes more time than the warp stabilizer inside of premiere pro. Generally these software stabilizers almost never will replace any kind of mechanical stabilizer as you need a very fast shutter speed and high or gigantic resolution (depending on the amount of jitter). You either go for it for a certain effect or, like it was intended in the first place, use it because someone didn't do his job and delivered crappy shots.
